What is Cancer?
Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body.
Cancer can start almost anywhere in the human body, which is made up of trillions of cells. Normally, human cells grow and multiply (through a process called celldivision) to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place.
When a cancer grows, it is comprised into 4 stages to help doctors easily recognized how to handle the situation.

Cancer Stages
First and Second StageThe cancer has grown, but it hasn’t spread anywhere else in the body. This makes the cancer in this stage harder to find.
|
Third stageThe cancer has grown even larger and may have spread to the surrounding tissues or glands. This make the cancer more dangerous and is more commonly found during this stage.
|
Fourth StageThe cancer has grown and spread from its original location to distant parts of the body. It is harder to fight the cancer during this stage, causing a lot of deaths.
